FAITH, A CARDINAL FACTOR FOR LIFE'S JOURNEY.
Hebrews 11: 6 says:
And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. NLT.
Faith is a cardinal factor or requirement in our life's journey. It is impossible to become anything in life without activating faith.
Defined as a complete trust or confidence in someone or something, faith stands as the bridge between where we are and where we want to be, and between who we are and who we want to be.
Faith is a deep conviction that you can achieve anything you set out to do. It is not an elective characteristic but a core requirement in life's journey.
Without faith it is impossible to please God. Without faith it is impossible to please life. And without faith it is impossible to please yourself.
Faith demands are so crucial in approaching anything as far as this life is concerned. Faith is not just wishful thinking, but it is rather a deep conviction and belief that God is real, and that His words are true and final, and that He is able also to bring about His promises irrespective of the odds we may face. Our faith is made strong in Jesus Christ as the forerunner of the faith life we now live. Christ is called the author and finisher of our faith according to Hebrews 12: 2.
The level to which we rise in life is dependent on the level to which our faith is raised. There are levels of faith and life's levels responds to our levels of faith. Our faith levels builds into us capacities, capabilities and competencies to face the issues and challenges of life. Where others break down may jist be where our rehearsals begins.
Our faith is either living or dead, active or passive, working or redundant depending on how we engage it.
Friend, the question is not if we have faith, every one has faith. The atheist has faith that his rational reasoning has removed the possibility of God. He has faith in his intellectual ability. Others have faith in their abilities, skills, connections, friends, family and themselves. Everyone has faith. The question is where is your faith anchored? Sooner or later the storms of life will begin to blow and then the question becomes, 'will the anchor of faith hold?'
Luke 18: 8 says: I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?'
Faith is so important that it influences our entire being and belief system. It is important to understand that we believe what we have faith in, and then go ahead to behave what we believe and eventually we become what we behave. So what we believe we behave and what we behave we become. This is the simple truth about life.
However, faith can be lost when you experience any or more of the following:
1. Traumatic experiences that make you doubt whether your God is truly benevolent.
2. Mental health concerns, such as depression or anxiety.
3. Experiencing bereavement and wondering whether life is worthwhile.
4. Feeling lonely and disconnected from others.
5. Life changes that make you reassess your beliefs.
6. Experiencing significant personal growth without checks and balances.
7. You encounter people of your religion that don’t practice what they preach, so to speak.
8. You witness or experience abuse or discrimination from religious leaders, brothers or sisters.
9. You re-evaluate your values and find that it doesn’t match your believe system.
10. Certain religious teachings ring untrue for you as you grow in life through personal experience.
It’s easy to lose faith in God, when you put your trust in man and your own abilities. It is even easy to also loose faith if people and yourself. Don’t lose hope in what God has for you.
Romans 5:3-5 says: “Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope. And hope does not put us to shame because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”
Look at that rejected job as God’s saving grace from what you want and his ability of giving you something far better than you can hope for. Trust in God’s timing. Don’t lose hope in yourself, you being rejected is not a reflection on who you are or what your worth is. Use that time to seek God’s guidance and be specific with God in what you want, he listens.

Whether you’re religious, spiritual, or neither, it’s natural to have doubts about your faith from time to time. If you’re losing your faith, it’s possible to re-ignite your sense of conviction.
Here are a few ways to handle yourself where your faith faces a turbulence:
1. Join a new group. The people in your life are like fire woods. Get new ones when you exhaust the ones you already have to rekindle the fire of your faith.
2. Embark on a spiritual self-study. Humans are like a bulb of onions with so many layers. The more you peel it, the more of it you discover. Take out some time to attend spiritual seminars or classes.
3. Volunteer for a cause that resonates with your values. The fertilizer for growing faith is selflessness. When you start living for others, you will start experiencing a new dimension of faith.
Don't give up. Don't let go. The world is waiting for you. Go conquer it by faith.
